Lightbulb moment for today!
Living a happy life does not mean we need to be happy ALL THE FUCKING TIME!
Horrible days are inevitable part of life.
Sadness may come.
Some things may annoy us.
Some people may make us angry.
Some days we feel so energetic and enthusiastic.
Some days we feel like a giant piece of shit.
But living a happy life is about looking at this temporary human existence from a bigger perspective, instead of focusing so much on every little detail.
Living a happy life is understanding that at its very core, life is truly a gift.
Every single breath is a gift.
We might not feel cheerful all the time, but our past experiences have taught us that nothing ever last forever.
Sad days always pass. That's why in difficult times we need to remind ourselves that better days are coming.
But unfortunately, happy days also pass. That's why in times of joy we need to be present and experience the good times fully.
Instead of forcing ourselves to be happy all the time, it is much easier just to flow in alignment with the natural rhythm of life.
Genuine happiness requires an objective look on life, the detached understanding of the whole spectrum of living in this dimension of duality: beginning and ending, rise and fall, hellos and goodbyes, excitement and boredom.
Once we make peace with the whole menu that life offers to everyone, we become less attached with the ups and downs of everyday life.
If we encounter something we dislike, we can make a conscious action of either changing the situation or changing the way we look at it.
By making peace with the uncertainty of life, we become more appreciative about the little beauty we find in it.
We become more thankful about the trivial things that we see everyday.
We become less obsessed with how we think our lives should be, and instead we can fully enjoy the life we actually have right now.
We detach ourselves from the people who seem to work so hard all the time in finding what's wrong about life.
We choose to look for the beauty in life instead of criticizing it all the time.
Learn to see the big picture. Learn to nurture the genuine attitude of gratitude.
Spread good energy everywhere. That shit is awesome.
Love and Blessings,
Affandi
